Great Bend Fire and EMS

Great Bend Emergency Medical Service made eight ambulance runs on Wednesday. 

Firefighters responded to two smoke alarm activations, both were false alarms.

Firefighters responded to a possible gas leak at 9:55 p.m. in the 1800 block of Monroe. No gas was detected but Kansas Gas Service was contacted.

A battery was reported at 1:55 a.m. Wednesday at Charlie’s Place, 1109 Main St.

A structure fire was reported at 8:34 a.m. at Azria Health, 1560 K-96.

A theft of money forgotten at a register was reported at 5:52 p.m. at Walmart, 3503 10th St.

Property damage was reported at 10:54 p.m. at 1118 Eighth St. 

A structure fire was reported at 9:14 a.m. Thursday at 2933 29th St. 


Barton County Sheriff

An injury crash was reported at 8:54 a.m. Wednesday at 10th St. Eye Care, 2601 10th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 12:54 p.m. in the 100 block of SE 20 Rd.

An injury crash was reported at 7:55 p.m. at East K-4 and NE 140 Ave., Claflin.
