Alpha Kappa Master holds meeting

Alpha Kappa Master sorority chapter met on April 12. In the absence of President Dr. Merlene Baird, chaired the meeting.  

The Beta Book drill was on the “Golden Circle” ritual for members who have been in the organization for 50 years. Members were reminded to continue to collect bears and other stuffed animals for the 21-22 year project. Several members attended a recent style show with plans to celebrate Founder’s Day beginning at 11:30 a.m. on April 27 at the Reidener Inn. The 2021 Queen will be crowned during this event. 

Plans are being made to construct a quilt of sorority activities for President Connie Carlton with Baird as chairman. Wadonna King presented the program “Finding Your Peace: a look at the past year.” 

The next meeting will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 10. The program will be shared by Baird and the Mother’s Day committee. Awards will be presented for program of the year and perfect attendance. A ritual will be given to Glenna Melkus.
