Long speaks to Progress Club

Dana Long from the Great Bend Pumpkin Patch was the speaker at the Oct. 7 Progress Club meeting. 

She has a degree in agronomy from K- State and is an appraiser. She and her husband have operated The Pumpkin Patch, open on Saturdays and Sundays in October, for 12 years. 

In addition to four acres of pumpkins, they also have a corn maze and a corn pit. She displayed different types of pumpkins and discussed them.

Khris Thexton, Superintendent of USD 428, will be the speaker for the Nov. 4 meeting. Hostesses will be Judy Fox and Jackie Curtis.
