Jordaan Memorial Library is hosting a free admission, Kansas Author Celebration event, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 3rd, at the Larned Community Center, 1500 Toles Ave. There will be several Kansas authors in attendance, with a wide variety of genres for the public to browse. Choose from children’s fiction, memoir, non-fiction, western, mystery, true crime, middle-grade fiction, romance, science fiction, and more. Each author will have their own payment method, including but not limited to cash and card.

Trooper Ben, along with Eliane McAllister, will also be at the event, and will give a special presentation at 1 p.m., discussing Trooper Ben’s debut book, “Awkward in a Thin Blue Line.”

Writing a book, let alone seeing it published, can be a daunting task. From drafting, revising, editing, and formatting, the process of producing a book is a testament to the author’s dedication and dreams. Each author brings their unique point of view, background, and wordsmithing, to craft their dreams into reality.

This event celebrates each of these authors and their unique works of literary art. Come for a fun-filled day of meeting authors, learning more about each one and their work, grabbing food from one of the food vendors, and taking home new adventures created by Kansas authors.
