The League of Women Voters of Great Bend, Barton County, is hosting a fundraiser night at Pizza Hut, 2006 Main Street, Great Bend, on Monday, July 23, from 5-8 p.m.

Whether you dine in or carry out, Pizza Hut will donate 15% of sales to the LWV when you mention the fundraiser. The funds raised will support a yearly scholarship for a Barton Community College student to attend a four-year college of their choice. The scholarship is named for Beverly Komarek and Rose Kelly, both longtime supporters of the LWV and the Barton County Historical Society.

The LVW Candidates Forum is set for 7-8 p.m. Monday, July 20, at the Great Bend Events Center, 3111 10th St. It will feature candidates for the Barton County Commission and state House of Representative seats. There will be time before and after the forum to visit with the candidates.
