On Jan. 17, we closed due to the ice as did the school district. Please remember if the USD 431 school district is closed, we will close the library.

We keep our Facebook page updated, so like us on Facebook for the latest library news.

We have some new DVDs at Hoisington Library.

They are:

“Aladdin.”

A street rat frees a genie from a lamp, granting all of his wishes and transforming himself into a charming prince to marry a beautiful princess. But soon, an evil sorcerer becomes fixated on securing the lamp for his own sinister purposes.

“Boss Baby.”

When seven-year-old Tim Templeton’s new baby brother strides in the front door wearing a suit and toting a briefcase, it is clear who is in charge and will be receiving all the attention of their parents.

“Minions.”

Minions evolve through the ages, perpetually serving the most despicable of masters--which they are continuously unsuccessful at keeping. One Minion named Kevin, however, has a plan, and he and two of his Minions cohorts venture out into the world to find a new evil boss for his brethren to follow.

“How to Train your Dragon. Homecoming.”

When it becomes clear that the new generation of Vikings don’t remember the bond between dragon and human. Hiccup sets a plan to celebrate dragons with a grand Snoggletog holiday pageant and gets a heartwarming surprise visit from Toothless for one more adventure.

“Home.”

A lovable misfit from another planet meets a girl named Tip. The two unlikely friends embark on the greatest journey of all time.

“Madly Madagascar.”

Alex’s favorite holiday, Valentine’s Day, brings hilarious surprises and excitement for the entire gang. Melman plans a big surprise for Gloria, Marty tries to impress a new friend and everyone wants to get their hands on King Julien’s love potio.
