Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made 11 ambulance runs Monday. There were no fires.


Barton County Sheriff

A fire was reported at 1:10 p.m. Monday at SE 100 Ave. and SE 40 Road.

A kidnapping or attempted kidnapping was reported at 6:52 p.m. Monday at North Clay and West Second St. A caller thought someone in a red car was trying to kidnap a kid. Hoisington Police Department responded. Hoisington Chief Kenton Doze said there was no kidnapping; it was just some juveniles fooling around.

A non-injury crash was reported at 9:10 p.m. on East K-4 at mile marker 125.

A burglary was reported at 195 SW 52 Ave., Great Bend.


Great Bend Police

On Monday an individual reported being battered on Sunday at 3107 Stone St.

A sex offense was reported. The School Resource Officer handled the call.

A bar of soap and $80 were reported stolen from a residence at 3124 28th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 6:24 p.m. at 10th and Washington.
