Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made one ambulance run Thursday, three Friday, three Saturday and four Sunday. There was also one EMS standby daily, Thursday through Saturday. There were no fires.

Thursday’s calls also included a smoke detector activation and one police assist.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 9:35 a.m. Sunday at NE 10 Ave. NE 20 Road, Great Bend.


Great Bend Police

A window was broken on a building at 900 10th St., it was reported Friday.

A theft was reported at 3600 Robin Road. A possible suspect was arrested on other outstanding warrants.

Officers assisted the Kansas Highway Patrol at 10:10 a.m. Friday at Walmart, 3503 10th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 11 a.m. at 17th and McKinley St.

A sex offense was reported.

Non-injury crashes were reported at 1:40 p.m. at Walmart, 1:42 p.m. at 10th and Grant, and 9:41 p.m. at Best Western Angus Inn, 2920 10th St.

The door to a residence at 400 Frey St. was damaged by a BB gun.

Theft of motor fuel was reported Saturday at Ampride, 2302 10th St.

Non-injury crashes reported Saturday at 3:11 p.m. at the SRCA Dragstrip, 9951 B-29 Way, and at 6:51 p.m. at 10th and McKinley.

A set of keys was found Saturday evening at 10th and Lincoln.

A loud bang was heard and reported around 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of 29th St. Nothing was found.

A non-injury crash was reported at 2:02 p.m. at 10th and Hubbard.
