Great Bend Fire/EMS

A structure fire was reported at 1:54 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at a mobile home located at 816 Pine Place. Firefighters also responded to a grass fire at 5:26 p.m. at NW 80 Ave. and West Barton County Road.

They were dispatched to a gas leak in the 3200 block of 17th St. at 10:45 a.m. Sunday and to an unauthorized burn in the 100 block of 16 Road at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday.

Emergency Medical Service made five ambulance runs on Friday, Sept. 25, six Saturday, five Sunday, nine Monday and 14 Tuesday. EMS was also on standby at the dragstrip Friday, Saturday and Sunday.


Great Bend Police

An injury crash was reported at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday at McDonald’s, 3307 10th St.

Police investigated a possible burglary in progress at 7:42 p.m. when a subject was seen possibly entering a vacant residence at 406 Walnut St.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:19 a.m. Tuesday at the University of Kansas Health System Great Bend Campus, 514 Cleveland St.

A fire was reported at 12:34 p.m. at Heavy Metal, 76 SE 16 Road, Great Bend.

A fire was reported at 12:49 p.m. at 226 NE 130 Road, Hoisington.

A non-injury crash was reported at 9 McKinley St., Great Bend, at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday.
