Woman injured in car-deer crash on I-70

One passenger in a car that hit a deer Friday night on Interstate 70 in Ellsworth County was taken to the Ellsworth Hospital. The crash occurred around 10 p.m., 12 miles west of the K-156 exit.

Kansas Highway Patrol reports a 2014 Mazda 3 driven by Michael A. Evans, 41 of Greeley, Colorado, was traveling west when it hit the deer. The driver and a 6-year-old passenger had no apparent injuries but Kali Evans, 40, sustained a suspected minor injury and was taken to the hospital. All three people in the car were wearing safety restraints.
