ST. JOHN — Frances Elaine Castro, 88, passed away March 22, 2020, at her home in St. John. She was born on Dec. 13, 1931, at Kalamazoo, Mich., to Harry and Lottie (Mosey) Hendrick. 

Coming from Arizona in 2006, Frances was a St. John resident. She was a unity lay minster and caregiver. She enjoyed making quilts and crocheting.  

Survivors include, a son, Brian Wait and wife Karen of West Virginia; six daughters, Linda Burnham of Kalamazoo, Mich., Louise Dressler and husband Bill of Edgewood, N.M., Pamela Peery of California, Wendy White and husband Richard of Branch, Mich., Penny Lopez and husband Ramiro of St. John, and Marsha Farris of Pratt; 23 grandchildren; and numerous great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; two sisters; a daughter, Frances Wait; and two grandsons.  

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
