Jacquelyn ‘Jackie’ Beth Monroe

Jacquelyn ‘Jackie; Beth Monroe, 87, passed away Feb. 13, 2025, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kan. She was born March 12, 1937, in Otis, Kan., to Jacob and Bonita (Brack) Brack. Jackie married Orville Monroe in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 2022. 

Jackie spent her career in the Colby and Albuquerque school districts as a grade school teacher. After her marriage to Orville she moved to Great Bend, Kan. She was a cat lover who raised and spoiled many cats over the years. Jackie was an avid reader and loved to keep her mind sharp with crossword puzzles. When able, she grew and tended to a beautiful garden full of colorful flowers. She loved shopping – whether it was a day trip out of town or ordering over the phone from QVC. Above all else, Jackie loved spending time with her friends and family. 

Survivors include her children, Melissa (Eulert) Dickson and husband Tim of Ellinwood, Colby Eulert of San Diego, Calif., Bret Eulert and wife Connie of Great Bend, Jenny (Monroe) Hejny and husband Daniel of McCamey, Texas, Eileen (Monroe) Wilkinson and husband Bobby of Denison, Texas; and her two furry children Harley and Phoebe; eight grandchildren, Rachael Dickson, Jeremy Hejny (Shannon), J.D. Hejny (Whitney), Jessica Brooks (Ron), Christen Cory, Amanda Robbins (Rocky), Josh Cory, and Tony Hammond; 16 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Larry Brack.
