Kayla L. Winder 1979-2020

Kayla Leann Osburn Winder, 40, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 12, 2020 in Great Bend, KS. Born on May 14, 1979 she was the daughter of Jerry Osburn & Rashell (Schlenz)Alsup. A graduate of Larned high school Kayla was a resident of Great Bend for the last 10 years formerly of Denver, CO. After high school Kayla went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from FHSU as well as a RN degree from BCCC. Kayla loved caring for people and had a passion for donating her time at church. She worked at a handful of nursing homes and locations as an RN and Director of Nursing and was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Great Bend. 

Survivors include husband, Allen Winder; father, Jerry Osburn; mother, Rashell Alsup; twin brother, Kar Osburn; sister, Angela Seifert (Coby); grandmother, Mary Osburn; 5 nieces Haleigh, Michaela, Myranda, Paityn, Willow; nephew Levi; and 2 stepchildren, Christian & Zoe.  

Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Thurs., Feb. 20th at First Assembly of God Church in Great bend, KS with Pastor Dwight Dozier officiating. Visitation will be at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood, KS on Mon., Feb. 17th from 5-7 PM. The family welcomes the public to bring a favorite photo of Kayla to the visitation or service.  In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family for expenses in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS.
