LARNED — Peter L. Diamond Jr. 68, passed away Sept. 16, 2018, at The University of Kansas Health System Pawnee Valley Campus, Larned, Kan.

He was born Oct. 31, 1949, in Mobile, Ala., the son of Peter L. and Betty Baldock Diamond Sr. He was a SPTP Unit leader at Larned State Hospital, Larned, Kan.

He was of the Christian faith and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

On Dec. 28, 1983, he married Robin Galbraith in Fort Polk, La. She survives.

Other survivors include, mother, Betty Diamond Frost, Clanton, Ala.; son, Paul (Holly) Diamond, Brunswick, Ga.; daughter, Breanna Diamond, Larned, Kan.; brother, Bobby (Martha) Diamond, Gainesville, Fla.; sister, Mary (Rick) Hurst, Clanton, Ala. and a grandson, Dylan Diamond. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter L. Diamond Sr.; and a sister, Annie Stromquist Setzer.

Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Pastor Cameron Moore presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with family present from 5-7 p.m. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association in care of Beckwith Mortuary, P.O.
