Cougar quarterback Kaden Foust scored on a 70-yard kickoff return, completed a 55-yard pass to Seth Hoopingarner and scored on a 4-yard run. The Cougars rushed for 382 yards.

Stafford's Tai Hildebrand scored on a 64-yard run and rushed for 151 yards.

Ellinwood's Ryan Niles caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kyler Doll.

The Oilers (1-2) had never started 0-2, but rebounded as Cole Lamatsch and Jacob Oberle each scored two touchdowns.
