GARDEN PLAIN (8-2) at HOISINGTON (9-0)  — No. 3 state-ranked Hoisington will play Garden Plain (8-2) in Friday's 2A state football quarterfinal showdown.

Hoisington tailback Taylen Morales continued his success with 174 yards rushing and three touchdowns in a 46-6 victory over Hillsboro. Brody Pfannenstiel scored on a 35-yard pass reception and a 61-yard run. 

Garden Plain's Emrick Hays has rushed for 1,331 yards and 14 touchdowns. Braylen Dold has gained 641 yards and Eli Eck has gained 580 yards rushing. The Owls average 299 yards rushing and 19 yards passing.
