MACKSVILE 66, KIOWA COUNTY 18

GREENSBURG — Macksville quarterback Ryan Kuckelman was Superman with eight rushing touchdowns and 252 yards rushing in a 66-18 rout over Kiowa County in 8-Man 1, District 6. The Mustangs trailed 16-8, but outscored the Mavericks 58-2 keyed by seven consecutive touchdowns.

Macksville (3-3, 2-2) plays Kinsley (4-3, 2-2) at home with a playoff berth on the line Friday. 

Kuckelman scored on touchdown runs of 2, 9, 9, 17, 35, 41, 46, 56 for an apparent school record. Kuckelman completed a 27-yard scoring pass to Cleven Huggins. Michael Seward scored on a 5-yard run and rushed for 62 yards.

CHASE — Otis-Bison QB Kaden Foust , halfback Christian Roth and WR Dalton Regan each scored two touchdowns as the Cougars raced past Chase 58-3 in Friday's 8-Man, District 8 football showdown. Otis-Bison (2-5, 2-3 District) plays at Victoria (7-0, 5-0 District) Friday. 

Foust scored on a 65-yard run and on an interception return. Christian Roth scored on 25-yard and 43-yard runs. Regan caught 8- and 25-yard scoring strikes from Foust. Nathan Roth scored on an interception return. Ky Schwartz added a rushing touchdown.

The Cougars intercepted five passes as Foust (2), Nathan Roth (1), Regan (1) and Gratton Dalton (1) stole passes. The Cougars recovered two fumbles.

Chase (1-6, 1-5 District) salvaged a score on Drayton Griffitt's 30-yard field goal.

Plainville (3-4, 2-3 District) was sparked by Kyle Werner with four touchdown runs. Ellinwood (0-7, 0-5) plays at Ell-Saline next week.

Hugoton QB Gavin Williams threw three touchdown passes, two to Wyatt Angel and one to Haden Daharsh in a 22-16 win over Pratt. RB Riggs Martin leads the running game.

Kinsley QB Isaac Bowman completed three touchdown passes. But Kinsley yielded 452 yards rushing and 249 yards and five touchdowns by Colby Stull in a 74-26 loss to LaCrosse last week.

Stafford’s three-pronged offensive attack features QB Dylan Gantz (724 yards, 22 TDs), RB Kleyton Schreiber (907, 14 TDs) and RB Tai Hildebrand (826, 8 TDs). Gantz contributed five touchdowns in a 68-60 win over South Haven.
