LARNED — Hesston's softball team rolled past Larned 13-3 and 17-3 for a pair of run-rule Central Kansas League victories Friday.

HESSTON 13, LARNED 3 (G1) — Larned's Karley Lemuz drilled a third-inning homer. Eowyn Hedding scored on a first-inning error. Madison Wood singled home Jillian Hagerman in the fifth inning.

Karmen Carson tripled and drove home three runs for Hesston (7-5, 6-2 CKL). Emma Gudeman and Brenlyn Richmond each drove in two runs. Larned pitcher Madison Wood yielded six walks and the Indians five errors led to seven unearned runs.

HESSTON 17, LARNED 3 (G2) — Larned's Maya Wilson singled in Gillian Smith in a 3-run third inning. Hedding scored on Hagerman's swingle. Wilson scored on a Lemuz sacrifice fly ball.

Hesston's Gudeman drove home three runs. Landree Martin, Karlee Harris and Wendy Roth each drove in two runs for the Swathers. 

Larned (4-5, 0-4 CKL)  plays Smoky Valley (1-5, 1-5 CKL) Tuesday.
