The law firm of Watkins Calcara Chtd., announces Jack Roenne has joined the firm as an associate attorney. Jack is from Meriden, located in the northeastern part of Kansas. He attended Kansas State University and received a degree in Agribusiness and Animal Science in 2021. Upon graduating from K-State, he attended the Washburn University School of Law to earn his Juris Doctorate and graduated in May 2024. 

Throughout his life so far, Jack has had a diverse range of work experience during undergrad and in law school, ranging from being a ranch hand at the K-State Cow/Calf unit for years to working as law clerk at the Kansas Department of Agriculture, and other various positions in the legal profession. Jack has a background in agriculture and grew up on a small Gelbvieh/Balancer ranch, which drove the agriculturally emphasized educational route he took. Throughout his education he learned to, and desired to, move to a place like Great Bend which had numerous opportunities inside and outside the agricultural sector. At Watkins Calcara, Jack is focusing primarily on real estate, business planning, agricultural law, and other transactional work. 

Jack is starting his professional career and life here in Great Bend with his fiancée, Clarissa, an attorney at the firm as well. Jack and Clarissa believe Great Bend has the perfect atmosphere to raise a family that is large enough for numerous opportunities while having small town values. Jack is grateful for the opportunity to work at a reputable and respected firm such as Watkins Calcara and is excited to help the members of this community and surrounding areas.
