Tom and Linda Barnes will celebrate their 60th anniversary on Aug. 21 with a card shower.
Tom and Linda were united in marriage on Aug. 21, 1965 in Kansas City. They moved to Great Bend in 1970 when Tom got transferred with his job at Ruskin Manufacturing. Linda worked for many years at JCPenney. They are both enjoying retirement now, except for their seasonal business as the owners of T & L Fireworks, which they opened in 1970 when they moved to Great Bend.
They have two daughters, Christy (Eric) Kuhn and Kathy (Steve) Kaiser and three granddaughters, Ashley (Tyler) Klein, Katelyn Kaiser and Cara (Brady) Moore. They have been blessed with four great grandchildren, Gannon and Colton Klein and Harmony and Jaylin Moore.
