It’s time to get into the Christmas spirit and Sterling College Music will help with that very thing as they present two Christmas concerts next week.
For the first, the audience should be prepared to hear many hymns and carols full of the Christmas spirit as the Sterling College Choir presents “Festival of Carols.” The concert will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Sterling United Methodist Church, 137 N. Broadway, Sterling. The vocal concert will feature both the Sterling College Choir directed by Sean Foster and the Highland Singers, directed by Marisa Callan.
The following day, Sunday, Dec. 8, the Sterling College Symphonic Band will present “The Sound of Christmas.” That concert will be at 3 p.m. in Culbertson Auditorium on the Sterling College campus. The concert will feature performances from not only the Symphonic Band but also the Brass Ensemble and the Jazz Band, all directed by Larry Brownlee.
Both concerts are free and open to the public and both will be livestreamed on the Sterling College Music Facebook page.
