Encounter Church will host its annual Candy Blast on Saturday, April 4, welcoming families from Great Bend and surrounding communities.

The excitement begins indoors at noon with an hour of games, music, and prize giveaways for kids of all ages. Parents and guardians are encouraged to register their children so they can participate in the prize drawings during the indoor activities.

At 1 p.m., the fun moves outdoors to the west end of the church property at 601 S. Patton Road, where kids will line up by age group to watch thousands of pieces of candy launched from giant cannons. Children in 6th grade and younger can gather candy to take home, with sponsors making sure no one leaves empty-handed.

“This is a free event for the whole family,” said Megan Peterson, children’s pastor at Encounter Church. “Grab the kids, invite your friends, and kick off Easter weekend with the sweetest event of the year! With tons of candy, games, and prizes, it’s a day your family won’t want to miss.”
