Great Bend Community Theatre will hold open auditions for its next production, “The Savannah Sipping Society,” at the Crest on Sept. 8 and 10 at 7 p.m. at the Crest Theater, 1905 Lakin Ave.

The play is by Jones Hope Wooten and features the following roles:

• Randa Covington: A perfectionist and workaholic whose career is unexpectedly derailed, leaving her with no direction or a life outside of her job.

• Dot Haigler: A woman recently widowed, still reeling from her husband’s death and facing the daunting task of starting a new life alone.

• Marlafaye Mosley: An energetic and earthy woman from Texas whose husband left her for a younger woman, and who seeks both a new life and revenge.

• Jinx Jenkins: A spunky life coach who moves to Savannah and offers her services to Randa, Dot, and Marlafaye, even though she herself is in need of guidance.

The play will be directed by KB Bell. Show dates are Oct. 23-26.
