Community Foundations are more than you may expect. They are designed to fulfill the purpose of improving the lives of people in their service area. Some may confuse this as solely financial assistance. However, community foundations also provide leadership and education to enhance lives in the community. The Golden Belt Community Foundation is excited to announce a partnership with local Kansas State University (KSU) Extension agents and local professionals to offer valuable estate planning education in the coming month. While many people associate community foundations with financial assistance, Golden Belt is committed to providing much more, including leadership and education to enhance lives in the community.
Throughout March and early April, local citizens will have the opportunity to attend a presentation regarding estate planning led by a licensed attorney, CPA, and CFA. These experts will cover key aspects of estate planning and offer guidance on the possibilities for arranging one’s estate.
The presentation schedule is as follows:
• March 6th – Rush Center Township Hall from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (RSVP required with the Extension Office)
• March 27th – Glory Be Building, 621 Broadway from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (RSVP required with the Chamber Office)
• April 2nd – The Page Banquet Room, 2920 10th St, Great Bend from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Registration required)
In addition to the estate planning presentation, Golden Belt Community Foundation is proud to collaborate with Kimberly Becker’s leadership program, which offers several coaching and consulting opportunities through her business, Move Your Mountain. These programs are designed to help individuals and companies enhance their leadership and communication skills. For more information, you can reach Kimberly at moveyourmountain19@gmail.com.
These educational opportunities are part of Golden Belt Community Foundation’s ongoing mission to improve lives and provide valuable resources for the local community.
Thank you to Watkins Calcara, Spectrum Partners, Edward Jones, and all the other agencies for assisting in this educational program.
Jason Murray is the executive director of the Golden Belt Community Foundation.
