Austin Shinliver

Austin Shinliver is a senior at EHS. His family is Craig, Casey and Morgan Shinliver. Austin would recommend the book “Together We Roared” by Evin Priest and Steve Williams. It shows even when times are hard, you have to try to push through the hard times and find good people to be around to make the most of it. His favorite quote is, “Nothing is given. Everything is earned.”

Austin says his favorite class is definitely Ag, since he will use those skills that he learned when he is older, unlike all the other classes we learn. Welding is also one of his favorite things to do “because I am actually good at it.” He also gets to make things from scratch that he or his family could use. Austin recommends getting your work done and just showing up to class for upcoming students in high school. The work is not hard if you just do it and get it turned in; even if you don’t get an A +  you can still get a decent grade.

His plan after graduation is to become a journeyman as an electrician and maybe transfer to become an electrical engineer after a few years to see if he likes it or not. We wish Austin a great year in his senior chapter!
