Ellinwood School/Community Library is ready to welcome adult patrons this summer with updated summer hours and a range of ongoing services to enjoy.

Summer Hours (Effective June 1): Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Friday: 8 a.m. - noon; Saturday and Sunday: closed.

In the event of severe weather, the library may close early or remain closed for the day. To stay up to date on any schedule changes or closings, be sure to follow the library’s Facebook page at Ellinwood School/Community Library.

Adult Services and Resources Available This Summer

The library continues to offer a variety of services for adult patrons, including:

Books, Audiobooks, and eBooks: Explore the library’s selection of new and classic titles across all genres. From best sellers to hidden gems, there’s something for every reader. Don’t forget that you can access eBooks and audiobooks from home with just a library card.

Public Computers and Wi-Fi: Adults who need access to computers for work, research, or personal use can take advantage of the library’s free public computers. The library also offers free Wi-Fi for anyone who prefers to bring their own devices.

Research Assistance: The library offers helpful research services for patrons looking to find local history, academic resources, or genealogy information. The knowledgeable staff is always available to assist with any inquiries.

Quiet Reading Spaces: For those looking to enjoy a calm and peaceful environment, the library provides comfortable, quiet spaces perfect for reading or study. Please remember that we will have our Summer Library Program the mornings of Tuesday - Thursday from 10-10:30 a.m., so it may not be such a quiet space during that time.

Interlibrary Loan & CKLS Pathfinder Library Loan: If you’re looking for a specific book or resource that isn’t available at the library, take advantage of two options: the Interlibrary Loan Program, which lets you borrow materials from libraries across the state, and the CKLS Pathfinder Library Loan, which provides access to even more materials from the Central Kansas Library System’s participating libraries.
