LARABEE LIBRARY
We’ve enjoyed kids coming in after school to enjoy the library. We have many games and activities for them. Word Search was being enjoyed by two boys this week. Games are always more fun with friends!

LARABEE LIBRARY NEWS– Did you Know – We have quite a few DVDs and we are adding to them daily?

You can check our card catalog and look for titles by putting DVD into the search bar. You can pick up a DVD, Monday 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Friday 2-6 p.m. and return to our dropbox anytime. If you have some to donate we would love that too. Just consider us your Red Box, only a red “brick” box and free!

Masterpieces of the heart were made Tuesday at Nora’s place! A favorite quote or thought was artfully placed onto a watercolor background under the direction of Jennifer Gleason. The ladies had a great time and had two finished art pieces to take home. The “Art Journal” class taught the students some healthy facts while learning to use painting as a relaxation project. Did you know breathing is a fast relaxation method? Don’t be afraid to ask Jennifer about the 4-7-8 Breathing and/or Physiological Sign Breathing!!!

Jennifer works for 21st Central Extension District. While she was with us we started working on other workshops, maybe one in April on container gardens and one in May featuring information on SCAMS.

Let us know if these or any other thoughts for workshops interests you.

Summer adventure

We are starting to get in new books and materials for our Summer Reading program. Adventure is the theme this year and we are having fun pulling things together for an unbelievable adventure in the library! Monday June 10 at 9:30 a.m., PBS will begin our preschool Adventure.

Tuesday June 11th at 11 a.m. for K-2 and 3 p.m. for 3-5th grades is the purposed times for the Summer Reading Adventure to begin. We have contacted Exploration Place and are trying to set up a date for a fun and educational day with them. Save the dates and stay tuned for further information.

Looking ahead
