A Great Bend man was transported to Clara Barton Medical Center on Friday after the Silverado he was driving went off K-4 in Rice County. Kansas Highway Patrol reports his injuries appeared to be minor.

Robert Lynn Engle, 75, was westbound on K-4 near 4th Road at 2:45 p.m. when he crossed the center line for an unknown reason. The 2007 Chevrolet Silverado entered the south ditch and jumped the 4th Road embankment. It continued westbound in the ditch until it came to rest. Engle was wearing a seat belt. The truck was removed by Brent’s Towing.
