Pawnee County boy on dirt bike killed when struck by truck

PAWNEE COUNTY — A Pawnee County boy was killed Thursday evening when the dirt bike he was riding was struck by a pickup truck west of Fort Larned National Historic Site in the county.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that Gabriel Mull, 12, of Larned, was riding a Honda 150 motorcycle southbound on 210 Avenue at approximately 7:22 p.m. in western Pawnee County when he drove in front of the Ford F250 pickup being driven by Robert L. Seder, 55, Great Bend, eastbound on K-156. The Ford struck the motorcycle on the right-hand side. Mull was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Beckwith Mortuary in Larned by Pawnee County EMS.

KHP reported that Mull was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Seder, who was reported as wearing a seat belt, was uninjured.
