Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service responded to nine ambulance calls Friday, eight Saturday and 10 Sunday. Firefighters made one carbon monoxide check on Saturday.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:20 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of SW 50 Ave., Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 9:31 p.m. north of Hoisington on U.S. 281.

A fight was reported at 11:46 p.m. at 515 S. Bismark Ave., Ellinwood.

A non-injury crash was reported at 6:17 a.m. Saturday on North U.S. 281 at mile marker 108, Great Bend.

Criminal damage to property was reported Sunday at 410 Brack St. in Galatia.


Great Bend Police

Theft of a window air conditioner was reported Friday at 1300 Madison St.

Criminal damage to the furnace of a vacant trailer at 905 8th St. was reported.

A 2004 Dodge Dakota with Kansas license tag 355AXA was reported stolen from 1206 Hubbard St.

A minor injury crash was reported at 6:51 p.m. at 4th and Frey.

A wallet was found at Z’s Liquor Mart and was booked into evidence as found property.

An injury crash was reported at 11:14 a.m. Saturday at 2602 Broadway Ave.

A non-injury crash was reported at 1:10 p.m. at 5520 10th St.

A bike was found behind a residence in the 1200 block of Morton and was booked as found property.

At 9:41 p.m. police received a report of a motorist in a silver Mustang driving recklessly. An officer attempted to stop the car at 24th and McKinley and the driver fled; police lost contact as it went into Stafford County.

At 12:40 a.m. Sunday someone reported a cougar in the area of the walking trail at Stone Lake, 2501 Railroad Ave. Wildlife and Parks was notified.

An injury crash was reported at 12:12 p.m. at Cherry Lane and Eisenhower Drive.

A sex offense was reported.
