A small, smoldering fire was extinguished at 3:07 a.m. Thursday at 16th and Polk.

Wires on a meter at 318 Evergreen St. were cut, it was reported Wednesday.

A non-injury crash/traffic hazard was reported at 11:06 a.m. when a vehicle that was westbound on 10th St. approaching Washington hit the brakes, causing the load to shift and strike the cab of the truck.

Benefit Management Inc., 2015 16th St., reported receiving some forged checks.

A non-injury crash was reported at 3:27 p.m. Wednesday at 23rd and Washington.

A theft was reported at Dollar General, 2400 10th St., when a subject did not pay for items at the self-checkout.

A traffic arrest on an alleged narcotics violation was made at 11:45 p.m. in the 4500 block of Farmers Plaza Lane.

A theft was reported at 4:16 p.m. Wednesday at 623 East Lakeview Dr., Great Bend.

A burglary in progress was reported at 6:55 p.m. at 31 NW 100 Road, Hoisington.
