On Thursday, August 21, at about 9 a.m., Barton County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Pine Street in the city of Great Bend. Sheriff Brian Bellendir reports detectives and deputies were looking for controlled substances. Two people were detained at the residence. Further investigation revealed suspected methamphetamine, prescription drugs, marijuana as well as a firearm.
Arrested at the scene was James B. Raab, age 42 of Great Bend. Raab was booked on requested charges of possession of controlled substances as well as two outstanding warrants from the Barton County District Court. Raab is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond as well as no bond on the two warrants.
Also arrested at the scene was Santia Henderson, age 36, also of Great Bend. Henderson was transported to the Barton County Jail without incident and booked on requested charges of possession of a controlled substance and is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond
These arrests are part of a continuing investigation. Bellendir stated the Sheriff’s office anticipates further arrests in the near future.
