Suspect arrested on aggravated burglary, battery charges

A Great Bend man was booked into the Barton County Jail on Saturday on charges of aggravated burglary and aggravated battery. Billy J. Eldridge was arrested on Barton County District Court case number 24-327 and released after posting a $75,000 surety bond through Ace Bail Bonds.

The Barton County Sheriff ’s Office dispatch log shows there was a report of an armed subject at 11:23 p.m. Friday at 314 N. Washington Ave., Great Bend, the home of Billy Eldridge’s father, Wally Eldridge. At 11:36 p.m., the Great Bend Police Department log shows GBPD assisted the sheriff ’s office in responding to Billy Eldridge’s residence at 3013 27th St. He was released to the sheriff ’s office and booked in sometime after midnight.

Earlier Friday night, there was a celebration at Dry Lake Brewing for the 30th anniversary of Wally’s business, Eldridge Fencing.
