LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Charles Allen Bear, 72, passed away peacefully on Oct. 31, 2025, at home in Las Vegas, Nev. He was born Aug. 24, 1953, in Ellsworth, Kan., to Myrl and Theo (Nichols) Bear. He married Deb Wolford in York, Neb. They later divorced. He then married Shirley Burger in Chicago, Ill., and to that marriage they had a daughter, Shannon Bear. They later divorced. He spent the remainder of his life with Suzanne Nelson.

Charles attended Wichita, Kan. schools and completed high school in Great Bend, Kan. He proudly served four years in the military having spent time in Germany. He spent the rest of his career as an over-the-road truck driver.

Survivors include his daughter, Shannon Bear and her partner Adam Schrippe of Chicago Ill.; partner Suzanne Nelson of Las Vegas, Nev.; brothers Roger Bear and his wife Garneta of Omaha, Neb.; Bill Bear and his wife Vicki of Fort Worth, Texas; nephew Ryan Bear and his wife Gillian of Fort Worth, Texas; and a great nephew Mason Bear of Fort Worth, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Bonnie Bear and Carolyn Bear.

Graveside service was held Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
