Cheryl L. Reinert, 60, passed away April 18, 2025, at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kan. She was born Jan. 7, 1965, in Great Bend, Kan. to Larry and Marilyn (Brown) Kopke. Cheryl had previously been married to Darren Reinert.
Cheryl was a lifetime resident of Great Bend and a 1983 graduate of Great Bend High School. Upon the completion of her education, she pursued employment with Cheyenne Travel Agency, CPI, CUNA Mutual, then finally Genpact. Cheryl enjoyed cooking, crafting, world travel and time spent with family and friends.
Cheryl is survived by her son, Logan Reinert (Macy) of Great Bend; parents, Larry L. and Marilyn J. Kopke of Great Bend; sister, Merritt Kopke of Godfrey, Ill.; life partner, Beck Tripp of Great Bend; and Beck’s son, Bryan Tripp (Gail) and family of Lyndon, Kan.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home, with the Reverend Joshua Leu presiding. Inurnment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation and viewing will be 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, with the family present to receive guests from 5 to 6 p.m., all at Bryant Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Golden Belt Humane Society or the Rebecca A. Morrison House, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
