SALINA — Chrystie Renee Blazek, 57, passed away March 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 12, 1968, in Hoisington to Edward and Rhonda (Smith) Blazek. 

Chrystie lived in Hoisington until 2004 when she moved to Salina. She went to work for several convenience stores as a clerk. She then settled working for Pfizer in McPherson as a group lead. Chrystie loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends camping and fishing. She would take her mind off her busy schedule with games on her phone. She had a gentle, caring heart and showed love to anyone who crossed her path. She was a faithful friend to many, including childhood friends she still kept in close contact with. Chrystie had a strong faith that carried her through her beautiful life. Her greatest achievements were her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include husband of the home, Rob Teschke; sons, Austin LaViolette and his wife Bobbi of Great Bend, Nathan LaViolette of Lawrence, Ryan Meade of Great Bend; daughter, Shannon Meade of Salina; stepson, Steven Mickle of Denver, Colo.; brother, Eric Blazek and his wife Kristy of Hoisington; grandchildren, MacKenzie LaViolette, Parker LaViolette, Leighton LaViolette, Lacee LaViolette, Liam LaViolette, Avery Cordova, and Lorenzo Cordova. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Aaron Lee Blazek; and infant brother, Paul Lee Blazek.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 27, 2026, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home with Pastor Don Fisher presiding. Visitation is available from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026, with family receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
