HOISINGTON — Corrine A. Boor, 72, died July 6th, 2025, at her home in Hoisington. She was born Dec. 3, 1952, in Ellinwood, Kan., the daughter of Paul M. and Marie A. (Bieberle) Hartig. Corrine graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1971 and then attended Barton County Community College where she was a cheerleader and the first Homecoming Queen.
On Oct. 11, 1975, she married Richard J. “Rich” Boor in Ellinwood, Kan. They worked side by side in their business Sound Control with partner Dick Reichuber until Rich’s death on Nov. 5, 1996. Corrine then went to work for Clara Barton Hospital where she worked in the billing department until her retirement in 2022.
Corrine was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was a sports fanatic, cheering on her Cub’s, Kansas City Chiefs, KU Basketball, and Notre Dame Football. She was also a devoted fan of her kids making all their sports games and later her grandkids which she cherished greatly. Corrine also loved her Hallmark movies and was especially excited for the Kansas City Chiefs movie.
She is survived by two sons, Richard “Todd” Boor and wife Alicia of Hoisington, and Brad Boor and wife Lexie of Hutchinson; brother, Marlin Hartig and wife Mary of York, Neb.; sister-in-law, Joni Luebbers of Hoisington; and three grandchildren, Connor, Theodore, and Brynlee. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Rich.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, with family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Vigil with Rosary will begin at 7 p.m., all at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 12th, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hoisington, celebrated by Father Warren Stecklein.
