Edmond Cornell Johnson, age 78, was born on Jan. 6, 1947, in Fort Worth, Texas, and passed away peacefully at home July 19, 2025. 

Edmond graduated from the University of Texas with a master’s degree in Sociology and was an instructor of Sociology and related disciplines at Barton Community College. His passion was to encourage students to explore the challenges of social dilemmas. He loved his profession and taught with care and respect for his students to successfully learn.

Edmond and his wife, Naomi, shared their lives together initially in Texas and then in Great Bend, Kan.

He is survived by his wife; beloved German Shepard, Captain; and several nieces and nephews.
