Ethel (Jane) Louise Hughes, 84, passed away in Florence, Ariz, on May 6, 2025. She was born in Augusta, Kan. on Oct. 12, 1940, to John and Eunice Webb. She lived in Great Bend, Kan. for over 20 years, working at Al’s Bar and Grill and The VFW.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Jody, Dorothy, Ginger, and Linda. She is survived by her husband

of 67 years, Thomas (Tom) Hughes of Florence, Ariz.; sisters, Doris Campbell of Branson, Mo., Peggy Morgan of Wilson, Kan., and Bonnie Patterson of Penalosa, Kan.; daughters, Janet (Hughes) Ciochon and husband Joe of Florence, Ariz., Gloria (Hughes) Dillon and husband Ric of Park City, Kan.; granddaughter, Shannon Zerr and husband Jesse of Wichita, Kan.; grandsons, Jimmy Jackson and wife Sina of Claflin, Kan.; Justin Wilson and wife China of Wichita, Kan. She is also survived by six great-grandsons; five great granddaughters; and two great great grandsons; along with many nieces and nephews.

Burial will take place in Great Bend, Kan. A memorial will be held at a later date in Great Bend, Kan.
