LACROSSE — Freda F. Chapman, 76, passed away on Sept. 26, 2025 at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kan. Freda was born on Sept. 09, 1949 in Danville, Ark. to the late Lonnie and Rowena (Thompson) Keener.

Freda was a high school graduate and attended some college. She worked as an associate at Wal-Mart for 30 years. 

Freda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy Chapman; and brother, William Keener. Survivors include her daughters Lynda Miller, Melissa Chapman, and Tabby Blair (Nick); brothers, John Keener and Dalton Keener (Barb); sister, Paula Keener; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
