Genevieve ‘Jenny; Darlene Lamb, 82, passed away Feb. 9, 2025, in Great Bend, Kan. She was born July 26, 1942, in Wichita, to Roy and Ella May (Davis) Dewing.
Jenny married Keith Lamb July 29, 1962, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They made Great Bend their home in 1966. She was a long-time faithful employee of First National Bank and American State Bank, retiring in 2012, as an assistant Vice President. She enjoyed weaving and was a talented artist specializing in a broad range of mediums, ranging from oil painting, charcoal to sketching. Jenny was an accomplished pianist. She was also known to be an equine enthusiast, exhibiting her love through riding, breeding and training horses.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Keith Lamb; son, Bart Lamb and his wife Chris of Poteet, Texas; daughters, Rhonda Hall and her husband Tim of Austin, Ky., April Pfeifer and her husband Sheldon of Ellis; brothers, Roland Dewing of Albuquerque, N.M., Robert Dewing and his wife Aloyse of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother in law Jimmy Noble of Las Cruces, N.M..; grandchildren, Darrin Hall (Charlotte), Desiree Rome (Mike), Darci Friberg (Austin), Randi Williams (Brandon), Jordan Gabel (Branden), Jared Pfeifer (Jordan), Jaylinn Good (Dalton); and 13 great grandchildren with one to arrive in August 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Thais Noble; sister in law Sandra Dewing.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Joshua Leu presiding. Entombment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home, with family receiving from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorials have been designated to Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
