HOISINGTON — Georgia Sue Richardson, 84, died Jan. 14, 2026, at the University of Kansas Health System Great Bend Campus. She was born April 7, 1941, in Ponca City, Okla., the daughter of George Seigler and Susie Alice DeLaughder.  

On March 24, 1958, she married Alfred L. Richardson. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2011. 

A longtime Hoisington resident, Georgia was a sweet soul, who liked to read, and was known for her knitting and crochet work.  She used her cooking skills working in the kitchen for Clara Barton Hospital and prior to that the nursing home.  

She is survived by her four children, Mona Hullett of Great Bend, Susan Richardson and companion Scott Reed of Hoisington, Lisa Smith and husband Lorn of Hoisington, and Charlie Richardson and wife Becky of Hoisington; and her beloved, 10 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, with one more on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred; son, Darrell Richardson; stepfather, Bill Henry; and one granddaughter, Rebecca Ehster.

There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place, but a book will be available to sign today until service Saturday. Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with Pastor Dennis Morrison presiding. Inurnment will follow in Hoisington City Cemetery.
