AGRA — Former Albert resident, James D. Reeves passed away on May 26, 2025 at his home in Agra. He missed celebrating his 50th birthday by 12 days. He was born in Hanford, Calif., June 7, 1975 to Del and Debbie (Beck) Reeves. He worked at B & B Redimix in Phillipsburg. Prior to that he grew up in Laton, Calif. and since the age of 12, he worked alongside his grandfather Dean Beck where his Grampa taught him the skills of a machinist. Jimmy always was working on cars, and at age 16, he took over driving his dad’s modified race car, which led him to a 30+ years racing and earning several track championships. His love for racing and building cars is what brought this family to Kansas.
Survivors include daughters Kylie Reeves of Albert, Kan., Jaycie Reeves of Helena Mont.; his parents Del and Debbie Reeves of Albert, Kan.; his brother Ryan and wife Amber and children Grace, Luke and Beau Reeves of Kingsville, Mo.; and fiancé Kimberly Bui of Phillipsburg.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 22nd at 2:30 p.m., at Jimmy’s BMS Race Shop, 3834 Avenue S, Albert, KS. 67511.
