Nancy Jane Small, 63, of Great Bend, Kan., passed away Feb. 23, 2026, at her home. She was born July 11, 1962, in Hastings, Neb., the daughter of Harold Leo and Susan Louise (Robertson) White. Nancy has resided in Great Bend for the past year, formerly of Lyons, Kan. 

She had her Class B CDL driver’s license, and drove school bus for Johnstown School district, Johnstown, Colo. and USD 405 Lyons. Nancy was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Great Bend. She enjoyed spreading the Word, crafting, sewing, and cooking. 

On June 3, 2006, Nancy was united in marriage with Keith Small in Great Bend. He preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 2025. She is also preceded in death by her parents. 

Nancy is survived by her two sons, Eric Parks (Brandy Pepperman) of Great Bend, Kan., and Jacob Parks of Great Bend, Kan.; four step-children, Nathan Small of Norton, Kan., Nicholas Small (Danelle) of Fort Leavenworth, Kan., Natalie Cook (Michael) Jefferson City, Mo., and Aimee Small (Travis Nash) of Hutchinson, Kan.; five siblings, Pam Hickman, David White, Tom White (Rose), Patricia Stevens, and Jay White; four grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren. 

Private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at St. Pauls United Church of Christ Cemetery, Holyrood, Kan. Memorials may be given to Muscular Dystrophy Association in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
