LACROSSE ‑ Patty Ann Highfill, 93, passed away on Aug. 21, 2025 at Locust Grove Village in La Crosse, Kan.Patty was born on Feb. 5, 1932 in Jet, Okla. to the late Elbert and Dorothy (Cellan) Jett.

Patty was the wife of the late Billy Van Highfill. She worked as a bookkeeper at their Case dealerships for years,  later she worked at Barrows pharmacy as a clerk for several years.  She was an excellent seamstress and made clothes for many Barbies of her grandchildren.  She loved her grandchildren and often had them over and played with them.  She also loved traveling, going to Santa Fe, NM, Oklahoma, attending horse shows with her family, playing golf and playing cards with friends and family.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Billy Van Highfill; and brothers: John and Jim Jett. Patty is survived by her children, Terry Highfill (Peggy), Dale Highfill (Rosemary), and Sue Funk (Dennis); nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025 at Janousek Funeral Home,719 Pine St., La Crosse, KS.  Memorials may be made to Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Department of Philanthropy, 2401 Gilham Rd, Kansas City, MO 64108, or the humane society of your choice.
