HOISINGTON — Robert L. “Bob” Finger, 92, died May 15, 2025, at Hays Medical Center. He was born October 21, 1932, in Redwing, Kansas, the son of Joseph and Mary (Reif) Finger. Bob graduated from Odin High School. From 1953 to 1955, Bob served in the United States Army as a signalman SP4 during the Korean War.

A lifetime resident of Barton County, Bob was a farmer and a stockman, farming the family farm northeast of Hoisington. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church of Odin, the Knights of Columbus Council #2630, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by two nephews; Daryl Schneider and wife Mary Lynne of Hoisington, Keith Schneider and wife Shelly of Olmitz: a niece, Carol Krug and husband Kerry of Russell; a great-nephew, Brent Schneider, and two great-nieces, Alaina Schneider and fiancé Michael Lamatsch and Suzanna Schneider.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Lawrence “Larry” Finger and his wife Corrine, and a sister, Elizabeth “Betty Jean” and her husband Joseph “Joe” Schneider.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, with family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Vigil with Knights of Columbus Rosary will begin at 7 p.m., all at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Odin, celebrated by Father Benjamin Dande. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
