LINDSBORG – Thomas Arthur Hoge, 78, passed away August 28, 2025 at Bethany Home in Lindsborg.
He was born June 13, 1947 in Great Bend, the son of James Lloyd and Viola Mae Palmer Hoge.
A lifetime area resident he was a Police Officer for Larned Police Department and a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Great Bend. He loved fishing, collecting guns, and working on ranches. He served in the United States Army, was a proud Vietnam Veteran and participated in the Honor Flight Trip.
On February 3, 1968 he married Katherine Dreiling at Great Bend; she preceded him in death on January 1, 2007.
He later married Joyce Hughes on June 13, 2008 at Wichita; she survives.
Other survivors include: three children, Tommy Hoge, Salina, Susan (Jennifer Larson) Hoge, Salina, Sandra Hoge, Farmersville, Texas; four grandchildren, Grace Hoge, Jovanni Larson, Rachel Cochran, Samantha Catlett; four great grandchildren, Avery Cochran, Vince Cochran, Ember Dennison, Alivia Dennison.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, wife, Katherine, and sister, Kathryn Jones.
Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned with Father Patrick Otor, MSP presiding. Mass will be viewable via Facebook Live at www.facebook.com/beckwithmortuary. Visitation will be a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with family present from 5-7 p.m. and a vigil and rosary at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery with military graveside rites.
