To the citizens of the City of Great Bend:

Being a Great Bend resident and native, the leadership of our community is very important to me. I write this letter of endorsement for Alan Moeder who is running for mayor of the city of Great Bend.

I have known Alan most of my life, going back to at least the 1970s. I have always admired Alan’s drive and determination. He is a self-made businessman who never was afraid of hard work. This is the kind of man we need leading our city.

He’s been on the City Council for several years and you can always count on him being present and attentive to the needs of our community. Alan is not afraid to challenge and question topics that are brought up before the council. Critical thinking and weighing the facts are of the utmost importance in the local government.

Like myself, Alan is a Great Bend native and cares about his community. He wishes to see the city of Great Bend grow and progress in both economic and in quality of life. Alan has the common sense of a businessman and understands that there are limitations that a community of our size must overcome. It has been my observation that Alan is open to considering new ideas and enhancing the quality of our community.

In closing, I, myself, have been a public servant most of my adult life. I would not endorse anyone I did not think was fully capable of the job at hand. Therefore, I ask that you too consider voting for Alan Moeder for mayor of the city of Great Bend on Nov. 4th.
