Republicans should regroup to beat Biden
Public Forum.jpg

To the editor:

I wish we would quit dwelling on the possible voter corruption in the 2020 presidential election except to concentrate all our efforts in making sure such a possibility can never occur again. (Voter ID would be a good, very logical start). This election is over and done with and we have what we have. That is not going to change.

I thought it was a farce when I found out that Donald Trump had been nominated for the 2016 Republican candidate for President of the United States. A former TV reality star who I thought was a clown. Really? I voted for him, however, because I thought that Hillary was the biggest crook America had seen since Al Capone.

Much to my surprise, ex-President Trump won and more to my surprise did some very good things for America, both domestically and internationally. He made us proud to be Americans again.

But his personality was divisive to the point that he became his own worst enemy and it essentially cost him the 2020 election. If our country survives Biden and his fellow Democrats’ dictatorial and socialistic agenda to the 2022 or 2024 elections, Biden’s election may turn out to have been a real blessing in disguise. Illogical? Not really.

Trump did a great job of exposing the wide-spread corruption in our government. Biden has further shown us the disaster our country can evolve into if the Democratic agenda is followed and implemented.

Thank you, President Trump! You exposed the evil and suffering that is headed our way if we don’t stop it. Thank you, Joe Biden. You are further exposing and exacerbating the distinct possibility of this evil and suffering becoming reality in the relatively near future. It has become maddeningly obvious. Thanks to you, there is no doubt what the Democrats have in store for us.

While I greatly appreciate what President Trump did for our country, I believe it is time for him to step aside and drop any further ambition to be a political leader in the United States. I think he can be a king-maker, but no longer can or should be the king. I believe that any reputable Republican – at the present time that could be Ron DeSantis, Tim Scott or Alan West – could beat any Democratic candidate in a landslide. I fear that if Trump tries to run, he will divide the Republican party so that the Democrats have a chance to win, which would be an absolute disaster.

Thank you again, President Trump. For my money, if you step aside now and help the Republicans regroup and unite, you will eventually go down as one of the greatest presidents in the history of America.
