To the editor:

In Saturday’s (Feb. 28) Great Bend Tribune it was incorrectly reported that my father, Al Marsh, had been the owner and operator of the Crest Theater in Great Bend. The Crest Theater was actually owned and operated by Commonwealth Theaters based in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Al Marsh was in truth the chief projectionist of the Crest Theater for more than 30 years, a position that he held with pride and professionalism. Since I don’t know how these wires got crossed, I’m hesitant to point fingers, although it does appear that the Tribune is blameless and merely printed was what was erroneously reported to them. In any case, I can only apologize for the error and hope that my clarification is sufficient and appropriate.
